Engaging your lighter side in mindful connection with others

Engage your lighter side…by opening a window to your own humorous nature, a wonderful, non-verbal practice of self-inquiry

And do it in mindful connection with others…via movement training and sacred mischief practices/exercises that open up authentic connection and help you practice and promote active listening

“Taking humor seriously enables people to not take themselves too seriously”

Whether it’s in a professional development situation; in a team-building session; as a training for stress release, self-care and resiliency building; as an icebreaker or break-out activity;  the opportunity to have fun engaging one’s sense of humor in self inquiry and self expression offers pathways towards en-lightened human connections and a lighter state of being.

Exploring and opening this expression non-verbally demands engaged intuitive mind.   When embodied  in improvisations with others, not only do fun and laughter fill the room, pathways open to developing upaya (skillful means) for lighter and mindful human connection.

Humor is certainly a wonderful way to invite connection, And lightness might even be more useful in many circumstances.  Where humor demands a response, lightness can be a mere presence, a sense inside, no demands, easier to carry, lighter to share.

Developed by Moshe Cohen, over a 20+ year journey teaching in Zen Centers,  offering team building in corporate cultures, trainings in the health care/social work/ educational worlds and in public workshops worldwide.

“Who could know that this would be such a valuable team building experience? It had more impact than a ropes course or any previous team training I have done”

Programs Director, Humanitarian NGO

“I found the exercises you shared really applicable to our work. We sometimes have an idea that we are ‘present’ but in reality just think that we are. I think any practice that aids us in getting into the right hand brain is vital and frankly delicious! So thanks again! ”

Suzie F. Artistic Director. Hearts&Minds

“Moshe has a wonderful energy and really embodies the lightfulness with much humor and sensitivity. It’s a great opportunity, don’t miss it!”

“I loved the definition of ‘levity’ as a lightness. Humor is always a possibility, but not an imperative. So freeing.”
